# Quickstart

> Make your first Partner API call in a few minutes

## 1. Get credentials

Obtain a Partner `client_id` and `client_secret` from PayEm (CS / partner onboarding).

## 2. Get an access token

```bash theme={null}
export PAYEM_HOST="https://app.payemcard.com"
export CLIENT_ID="<client_id>"
export CLIENT_SECRET="<client_secret>"
export ACCESS_TOKEN=$(curl -s -X POST "$PAYEM_HOST/oauth/token" \
  -u "$CLIENT_ID:$CLIENT_SECRET" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" \
  -d "grant_type=client_credentials" \
  -d "scope=PARTNER_API_V1_BASIC PARTNER_API_V1_CARDS" \
  | jq -r '.access_token')
```

Requires [`jq`](https://jqlang.github.io/jq/). Without it, copy `access_token` from the JSON response and run `export ACCESS_TOKEN="..."`.
Use `https://stage.payemcard.com` as `PAYEM_HOST` to call Staging. Access tokens expire after **five minutes**.

To use the API Reference playground, select the matching Production or Staging server and paste only the `access_token` value into the **Bearer** field. Never enter your client secret in the playground.

## 3. Fetch the company

```bash theme={null}
curl "$PAYEM_HOST/api/partner/v1/company" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN"
```

## 4. List cards

```bash theme={null}
curl "$PAYEM_HOST/api/partner/v1/cards?page=1" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN"
```
